Weekend Wisdom: What We Are...Becoming

Children learn more from what you are than what you teach. -W.E.B. DuBois

This piece of wisdom is a humbling message to anyone who is a parent. However, the message is broader than parenthood. It is a reminder to all of us that who we are can be felt strongly, and carries more influence than what we say or teach or preach. This is deeper than the notion of leading by example. It is about the energy that emanates from the soul of who we are. It is what people can feel in their soul from us. We are all on this human journey and none of us are perfect. Yet, it is important that we actively participate in the evolution into our best selves, into our greatness. "What we are" is always evolving and reflects the dynamic process of who we are becoming. It is reflected in the degree to which we have the courage to engage in the co-creation of our own evolution. It is this process of becoming that is felt by our children and provides inspiration to others. How are you participating in the evolution of your highest and best self?

With Peace, Love, and Soulfulness,
