Just like moons and like suns, with the certainty of tides, just like hopes springing high, still I'll rise. -Maya Angelou

The wisdom of Maya Angelou is profound and timeless. I have read her classic poem "Still I Rise" hundreds of times probably over the years. There is so much meaning to explore within each and every line. The part that I've selected for this week's wisdom brings us into the cycles and rhythms of the natural world. "Just like moons and like suns..." is a powerful reminder of our deep connection to nature, to the elements, to the universe. There is so much strength and clarity in knowing that "with the certainty of tides", we will still always rise. I believe her and this gives me peace in my soul.

With Peace, Love, and Soulfulness,

Dr. Shelly Harrell
