A Soulful Introduction to Mindfulness
Fridays, 8:30am - 9:45am PT
October 15th - November 19th
6 weeks, online via Zoom
$100 for full course -or- $20/week
Our 6-session flagship mindfulness class. All sessions will be hosted live on Zoom and facilitated by Dr. Shelly Harrell.
Dr. Shelly Harrell created this course for grounding, resourcing, healing, and connection. She offered it a number of times in 2020, within the context of profound loss and change brought on by the COVID-19 and ongoing racism pandemics. In 2021, we’re continuing to grieve, heal, and free ourselves from the grasp of these pandemics. Join Dr. Shelly Harrell and learn (or relearn!) basic mindfulness practices that focus on liberation of the mind, body, heart, and soul. The course is rooted in the Vipassana insight meditation tradition and is delivered with a soulful vibe that reflects an African diasporic sensibility and diverse cultural resources.
Mondays, 7am - 7:30am PT
Starts September 20th
Free, live via Zoom, audio only
A weekly meditation to start the week. All sessions will be hosted live on Zoom and facilitated by Dr. Shelly Harrell.
Start your week in communal meditation with our 20-minute intention-setting Asè soulfulness practice. Asè (pronounced Ah-Shay) is a West African, Yoruba-origin concept that refers to the power to make things happen. When we connect to the vital life energy of Asè we are claiming "so it is". In this free weekly meditation guided by Dr. Shelly Harrell, we Activate Soul Energy (ASÈ) to bring our intentions into manifestation. Arrive at 7am PT to prepare yourself to listen in to your soul's intention, guided meditation begins promptly at 7:10 am.
